Blog Entry -- Enigma

 Hello, and Be welcome.

This is the first Enigma blog entry.

My name is Sol Cajueiro, and I create languages and games. I've created about 15 versions of the game Enigma, until the final version.

It's an investigation game.

We use Roleplaying rules to easy the investigation.

And we also use Tarot, to talk to the Players and characters. I remember uncountable times in which a Tarot reading changed my opinion on The Game, the Story, the setting, and more.

I decided to wait until the time to publish.

We play the Story before publishing it.

Then, I use common sense and a Tarot reading to come to a conclusion on the Story, before deciding the final version.

Back in 2001-4, I also used Runes.

Runes are a bit more complicated to use.

I created, back in 2004 or so, The Origin, which rules the numbers in our fictional universe, and the numbers from 0 (Zero) to 9 (Nine) all have a meaning.

That's why The One d10 is important.

Enigma uses a d10 dice roll to decide what happens.

It means not everything's on the hand of the Master, and there's space for somewhat random solutions for the enigmas inside the Story.

I also use a 2d10 roll, one dice for the problem, the second for the solution, so to render random events for the game, and a Tarot reading to put it in the right direction.

You can also use a common deck of playing cards.

Then, use The Origin to interpret the meaning.

The setting of Toj is being planned.

A first Story was played using another system, but I've lost control of the game when characters came to levels 17 or 18, and I decided to give an end to the Story.

Then, I've named the Story with a local language word, Toj-éc.

It means "Story", but also means "the world".

This word was a start, so to form a basic Toj vocabulary.

For example, the word "Frigã" is used for Martial Arts, and it comes from a local legend, the lost City of Valor, and its hero, Baltyr.

I welcome you to read about The Game.

The Game is a game inside a game.

Major Players decide the destiny of the many.

Are you a Player? Want to know what they do, during The Game?

Then, you got the idea! Enjoy playing.

Now I'm gonna leave space for other posts.

I hope you're enjoying the reading.

Stay Plugged, Stay True.
