About The Great Game

 Hello, and Be welcome.

I have a theory, and I'll explain this during the years of this blog.

Well, first of all I've chosen three characters for the Novels: Asha, Nina and Tomi. But well, it only started to make sense when I started to write about Elliot, who is the Hierophant for Asha's group.

I remember back in '06, when I was creating the Ternary of Interest, Subversion and Corruption, that Asha would be the most powerful witch of all times, and the prophecy would be: Asha wa Druega -- Don't ask what it means, because I only knew this was the prophecy.

(Edit) By the end of 2022, I know now what the Prophecy means, the language in that is close to Irish. I'm publishing the books, too. Soon you'll be able to read and understand what it means.

Then, I've chosen that there are two way to deal with great issues: the first is War.

War means you want to defeat and destroy the enemy, or else, to control them.

But there is a second way to think about this, and it's pretty: a Game -- as you can see in ancient civilizations, games to define the most important men and women in sports, ranged from ice sports to fight, gymnastics and such.

Here, the goal is not to defeat and destroy, but to compete, prove you are the best in that art or sport.

That's the most essential idea of Enigma, as it was thought when I was planning the Novels.

Now, I'll work with a first reader to define what I need to change in the Novels. My friend Snake, a girl who have read the first chapter, was really interested in what the Novels would be, we're friends yet. She said it was good stuff. And I believed her.

I'm planning the blog to be a Home to all fans who want to play The Game, and also the fans who want to read more on the Novels. Together, I'll have some of my notes on the languages.

Up til now, I have two languages I'm working with. Draka is the language of Dragons. And Akkia is the language of a people without a name, in the search for their place at the echosystem, but I sense I'll find out who these people are, very soon.

(Edit) By the end of 2022, Draka mixed with the language of the princessess, back in time named Slanka, but now its name is Origa. Akkia also found the people without a name, those are the speakers of these languages.

Akkia's first word family was Basic Verbs: adda (da) (to be), etta (a temporary to be, which indicates states), atta (to do, to make, to realize), and edda (to exist, to have, or to be located).

This was chosen back in 2006, when I abbandoned Finnish as a reference to my languages.

The main reason is that all I was creating looked like that language, so I had to stop studying it.

I can understand basic Finnish, but no more than that, so to say.

It happened back in '06, when I was drinking a beer and listening to finnish radio. That man was speaking so fast, I thought: "If I can understand this man, I can understand Finnish", then there was a loud imaginary "click" and I was understanding what they were saying.

I think I can say I broke the language barrier with that.

But I think, this doesn't happened to me with English, as it was a conlang, not a natlang, you see.

I guess entering a small population's language universe is better than a broad one.

I could now understand what they were speaking, but then, I had to stop studying the language.

So, now Akkia will grow to be a language, distinct and unique by herself.

But what I wanted to say is a little different from this.

I want to say there is really a Game, in which there are some Players, like Eguthathugua on my Novels, who actually run another possibility for the standard way to deal with all issues.

The Game is set in the whole Universe, and there are few barriers to what can be said and done by Players.

One of these barriers is knowledge, as knowledge becomes the actual weapon during The Game.

I'll have to explain more on it during the years, for there's not a huge number of Players. They are only a few. (Edit) By the end of 2022, I know that only a few Players actually exist, for example, in our galaxy there are about 170 Players. That said, I'll have to explain their life and efforts, or else grant the game group the ways to understand Players, know how to use the characters in play.

Sometimes, a Player just say something and it all happens, sometimes not.

It means a huge space for roleplay, dramatic scenes, and much fun playing them in Enigma.

We (I mean me, and a few friends) hope you enjoy the stories we're playing on the official Playtest, which must be published here. (Edit) The other site is now offline, but there will be a new site soon.

The Playtest started back in 1991, with the Arkkana project, now known as Enigma.

I'll try only to say what's needed to play, because the old project is no longer a reference to play the game.

I'm trying to tell stories with a huge appeal to my players, including playing with monsters.

Monsters are non player characters, as it is a Rogue, and other characters other games allow you to play.

I'm trying to reconstruct a Vampire's Empire, but it's difficult, so more on that later.

I'll share notes on the worlds of our Galaxy 5e, but the maps done focused on the Sector Ih, that's where we live in, actually. This helps to detect some inconsistencies in the Settings, but I have more worlds to think about.

I have already invited you to do the same as I'm doing, that's the most important thing to say.

Now, I'll plan the other posts in order to have a Setting show in here.

Some posts depend on information to be published in other posts, so please wait and follow.

I hope you're enjoying the blog, thanks for reading, and

Stay Plugged.
