How to play The Game

 Hello, and be welcome.

I'm proud to anounce this First Course of Akkia.

You'll get use to it very soon.

The first words you need to understand are "iyyer", or "player", "ooklaet", or "character", and "meaki", that is "story".

We use capitalization for proper names, names of place and organizations.

But we also use it to giver sort of emphasys on writing.

This way, "iyyer" and "Iyyer" mean different things, with the second being considered important, or "dai".

We use the word "dai", or "dar" -- use what comes to be more beautiful, or rhyming -- meaning "important", and the most used word with this is "daiba", where "ba" means "part".

So, the question: "Daiba daka?" means "What's the important part?".

This is a very used question in Akkia, and calls for The Operator.

The Operator is the word or expression one cannot take off the sentence, or the sentence is ungrammatical (then, wrong).

When we play Enigma, we take the roles of characters and create a story together with our friends.

We use "rýydbbond", or "play the role of a character", and "rýyda", the Verb for that, and also "to interpret" a text.

For example: "Rýydée tuyer ooklaeta wa", as "Play the role of your character" (imperative).

Then, we can say: "Elle rýyda tuyer ooklaet",... "When (you) play your character",... and you see the word "elle", that is "when".

To play the game, we use a diagram, or a paper where we take notes on position and movement.

We don't use a grid, like in other games. The diagram is called "edýr", as in: "Edýr to wa, emme sua daka?", for "In the diagram, where am I?", and the Master will note on the paper that information, with letter, or numbers, or even runes -- you can have your own rune(s).

The game is named "koiyyer", and The Great Game is named "Edle Koiyyer", where "edle" means "big, great".

During the "koiyyer", your main character is a "Iyyer", that is a Player, and you control other characters during the play.

This way, we break the line of playing one character -- you play your Assets.

The Assets are named "Yoh", and we play to create, manipulate or control our "yoh".

A Master, or Storyteller, is named "Maasta" or "Mýstar", but that is a borrowing.

The correct in lang word for Master is "Sãkjung", with the honorific "sã", that's used after the first name.

So, we can say: "Yala-i koita ka yksiyer Meaki?", that is "Let's play our Story?".

We'll have other posts -- or several -- on playing the game.

Note that when we say "the game" it's a common game activity.

But when we say "The Game" we're talking about The Great Game and its investigation.

The maximum goal here is to investigate The Game, the Iyyer and such.

That's why we take notes on everything, so we can adapt in the future to publish.

You and your group are allowed to publish your Story on the network.

The most important Stories will get read and may become an Official Story of Enigma.

We may have to adapt names in your Story, when they may offend property.

I hope you're enjoying the reading, and

Stay Plugged.
