Hello.
And be welcome.
Today we're going to talk about Types.
The Types of character we can play in Enigma are the first group of definition of a character, being the second Concept, and the third a Class.
Types are called Stýar in Akkia.

They are: (the arcanists) Wizard/Witch, Sorcerer, Mage (Virtue Mage, or the non player's Vice Mage), Sacerdot, and Shaman; (person of power) Monk, Psionic, Vampire, Licanthrope, and Shadow.

To play you need 2 ten sided dices and a number of 6 sided dices.
You're also have to play with Cards, not Tarot, just the common playing cards.
I was playing with Rules for the Interaction, and I've found it very interesting to call the past Intervention Time, and future the Probable Time, what influences the game and the language equally -- the present is the Action Time.
When we're playing with Players, it's better not play in the past, and I'm working now on Rules to set this all, and with names in language so everyone can play the game using special words forged to define The Great Game.
The Game uses Assets to interact with the past, so no need for Action.
You decide the use of language as you go, including characters names in the past, present and future.
That's how Arod and Elyp came out of the hat, for the next Enigma campaign.
There was a time when naming characters was a very difficult task.
You can also study the arythmancy of the names you create.
Give 'em a Nanaka (family) name, and put the characters into a Kavva (or clan).
And the tests also formulate place names, and names for business and organizations, as a country for example.
I've also worked in the next campaign's language, in 78 words I've only made 2 or 3 interventions.
It means I'm documenting the language before putting characters on the set.
I'm going to explain that better on the site, with the help of a wiki.
For now we're going to get back to Akkia and wait for the future plans on playing Enigma.
It's all about investigating the Story you're telling in a group.
Not just telling a story, you're going to have Rules for not creating a mess of a past and present with your Interventions. The secret is to play dices. Once you have a basic knowledge of the language you want to magic with your Story you can play with the players' Assets to do that.
I have to tell I'm very proud of the Playtest, and I want to thank our Sponsors.
You'll have a special player who don't play with a character, the Reporter.
A Reporter is on the table to document the Story, but also with the language the group is operating. This is the Operative who tells the Story in one of the Enigma Blogs, with the permission of the Master and the game players for the table.
It was a real delight when someone told me someone was "copying" my ideas in other Blogs, when they're actually Playtesters.
Enigma is a wizarding game, and you need Magic to do the Play.
Don't worry, as you see in this post there are many Ways to deal with Magic and Power.
Magic and Power comes with responsability, don't worry, just to mention.

Now I'm going to work on my Stories, but feel free to post a reply if you have questions, or just want to stay in contact.

I hope you're enjoying the reading, here at the Blog.
Stay Plugged.
